Manu Propria Pens «Vintage/I» Urushi Pen

I have just started making small serials of pens with designs inspired by Vintage pens from the past. The Vintage/I is made in a serial of 10 pieces, Ebonite body with «Negoro» Urushi Lacquer. The metal fittings «Kinsokumiatateai» simulate solid brass, achieved by brass powder and urushi lacquer

For Hank-Lee, a thin layer of transparent urushi is applied and saturated with extremely fine brass powder caalibrated to 250 mycrons and cured for 24 hours. Its repeated 3 to 4 times, then ground and polished
