There is a strong trend for large pans.
Manu Propria pens are in general quite large but now I have added a new pen design to my collection.
The design is called "futo", the Japanese term for "big" or "fat".
Sushi lovers know the "futo-maki", the fat sushi roll.
The dimesions of this pen are:
Overall length: 160.00 mm
Cap: 75.00 x 21.00 mm
Barrel: 80.00 x 19.00 mm
The urushi lacquer on these pens is "tame-negoro-nuri" but the "futo" is made in any other lacquer technique

And it's very nice to write with

Best,

Martin

My father hurt his wrist in an accident a while back, and finds it difficult to grasp small objects in his dominant hand ... a pen like this would be welcome for him, as well as anybody who has arthritis, or even those who simply have very large hands. :)

That's correct. I heard it often from retailers that elder people often chose pens with larger diameter. Most of the large pens I sell to the Netherlands. 20% of the Duch people are taller than 2 meters

Martin,
Your workmanship not only on these pens but also on the laquer finish is outstanding! Even as these are such a pleasure to the eye, I am imagining holding one and feeling the finish and the quality of your work!

Thank you for sharing these!
