Make the hardware shine!

I tried to find this information by searching but maybe I'm not asking the right question.
Anyway, what do you all use to shine up the hardware for taking pictures.
It seems that is lacking in my images and I'd like to make them look better.

Any polish without abrasive grit will do. I use wax and it looks great. I read somewhere on here that if you use the wrong stuff you will thin out or possibly remove the finish.

I use a micro fiber cloth that you can find in the auto aisles in all the big box stores. Or if I can find it, my eye glasses cleaning cloth (I never wear the glasses so finding them is rare but it works great!)

Thank you Robert. I was wondering if wax would help.
I tried some Renaissance wax on this hardware and it looks much better.
