Majestic Squire Crushed Mud

This is a PSI Majestic Squire twist pen in gold and gunmetal, that I got from Rockler. The blank is a Woodturningz inlace acrylester called Crushed Mud, also from Rockler. I bought the blank just because of the name. I didn't know quite what to expect from the blank, but I sure do like it. It goes well with the pen. I really like the Swarovski crystal in the clip.

This is the unturned blank. Looks a lot different turned and finished.

I painted the blank and tube, and colored the epoxy black. You can see it in the finished blank. I think it enhanced the look.

I like the pairing. Always liked the Majestic line of pens from PSI. Nice blank.

I also like the kit quality, but never been a fan of the crystal (different strokes...). The blank is really cool - I view it like clouds, and the black back-paint is an excellent choice.

Doesn't look anything like mud to me, but it looks fantastic on that pen!
