What do you think of these? I'm on the fence. What can I say, I like click pens. It's a great idea but IMO the clicker just sticks out like a sore thumb. It takes away from the classiness of the pen.

Also, why doesn't Schmidt offer these in some other finishes? They make a black one, but no kit manufacturers use them. @ed4copies, any thoughts on this one?

This will probably be my new go-to clicker.

Less expensive than the Super Button ($16 vs $19, at least for now).
Has the same stainless schmidt clicker.
Uses 3/8 tube (thicker barrel walls).

At my last show I displayed 8 super buttons and 2 majestic clicks. I sold 3 of the lot, and 2 were the majestic.

I wondered if the bling on the clip would be positive or negative, as I haven't sold very many of the majestic twists I made. Of course the majestic twists are speedier than the DKnurl twists.

Seeing this post made me wonder, have you (or @sorcerertd) tried the Long Clicker from Exotic Blanks? Also called the Artisan Clicker Pen at Craft Supplies. It's a 3/8 diameter pen also.

My wife is the main click pen user in our house and she actually doesn't like the Schmidt click pens I've made her because they feel too soft & quiet to her. The Long Clicker has a very solid "chunk" click that feels & sounds like an old school click. My wife has been using hers as a daily writer for probably close to a year to keep notes for work in a journal/binder and hasn't reported a problem. I've made several others for people and haven't heard of any issues from any of them either. I do a lot of hybrid blanks on those pens because it has a nice long body and really shows off the hybrid.

The long clicker won't look as upscale as the majestic click by any means so you'd need to factor that in too.

Wow put me on the list to get a few of these too. I am a huge fan of the Majestic line. I love the crystal that so many people call the pimp stone. I think more pens should have them. There are just so very little ways to decorate a pen kit.

I see what you say about the clicker, and personally, that crystal is a massive turn off.
My default for this type of click pen is the Notus from Beaufort. With it's lines, 4 platings, and straight knurling, it has that balance between plain and too blingy. It has the same 3/8 drill and wall thickness and while it's not a schmidt clicker per se, Beaufort's quality is generally very high. And in that price point of (for now) $11 and it's my goto.

The only improvement I'd make to it would be to make it about few mil longer. But I think I can solve that with just some refill extenders. (5 for $1.05 at PSI).
