Hello Everyone,
I got a new a Mac Air. It's the first Mac I have ever owned. My question is, when I view photos posted on the site show up fine except for the ones posted from Photobucket, I just get a X in a box. I'm still learning this new system and I don't know what to change so that I can view these photos. Thank you for any help.

Hmmm - I have a Macbook Air & can't recall any problems like that. Point me to a post that you're having trouble with and I'll take a look.

yes I have and still do encounter the same problem. Sometimes I will right click on the pad and click either open new tab or open new window, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

I have the same problem with my iMac. I think it has something to do with the file type and configuring the the computer to accept it. I haven't tried to do anything about as it doesn't happen often. This Apple machines are shall I say quirky in some thing but I much prefer it to my old window machine, haven't had near the problems I had with Windows. The thing I like about it is my iPhone, iPad Mini and the iMac talk to each other.

...I too have a MC, iMac. When you go to photo bucket, open the pic you uploaded and then choose direct. It will show "copied" in yellow. The link is now saved, paste that link into the URL upload in the image transfer section, left and then right click in the box and it should be there. good luck!

Download Firefox and use it as your browser rather than Safari. Firefox is free and we use it on our 3 Macs and like it a lot better.

Jim,

I have both a MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air and have not had problems viewing pictures... that being said.... I have seen this one time on another site. If I was not logged into the site, I would get the little red x where the pictures were supposed to be.

Is it happening on this site or another? Does it change if you log into the site as opposed to viewing as a guest?

Hope you get it worked out... you'll love the mac!

I have had Macs since the beginning and Firefox is much better then Safari. I suggest that you take advantage of the free classes they give and you will learn about your MAC much quicker. They are great computers.

Thank you Cindy and Mark.
Cindy, I'd like to take the classes but at this time it's impossible as my wife is fighting Pancreatic cancer and is taking chemo and radiation. Hopefully we can beat this and I can take some classes, I'm sure they would be a big help. Thanks again.

Browsers

Or Chrome...also free and preferred by many Mac users like myself.

Also, "flash" doesn't generally run on Macs (just FYI).

Enjoy your Mac Air! Viruses are pretty much a thing of the past for you now!
