I just wanted to take a moment of your time to update you all on a great guy that most of us consider an individual who has been a tremendous positive influence on the IAP as well as a wonderful friend.

Back in November (just around Lou's birthday) he had a MINOR stroke during a surgical dental procedure. It wasn't even noticed, due to the affects of the medications, until the next day when he went back to the dentist for follow up.

Since that time Lou has been progressing quite well, as his doctors would have expected, and even returned to work for a period of time. He is currently taking another leave of absence to continue his therapy and to focus on his continued recovery.

Right now Lou does visit the forum to read for a bit here and there (usually once or twice a week) but does not really feel up to posting at this point. He asked me to let you all know that he will post again when he feels ready, but right now he is not. He doesn't want anyone to take this personally.

He also doesn't want anyone to think that he is SERIOUSLY impaired - He is NOT. I know that we talk to Lou on a regular basis and believe that he is doing very well, he has a fantastic attitude about what has happened and is thankful that this "warning" was only minor and now will allow him to spend many more happy years with his friends and family.

I hope this helps ease some of your minds in light of the extended absence of a dear friend.

Linda & Mike at Lou's request.

Linda and Mike thanks for the update, hope this answers some questions that we've had by members here.

Lou . . . If you happen to read this, please know that your influence in IAP is sorely missed. You never hesitated to stand up for what was right. Your creativity, forthrightness, and leadership are sorely missed. Best wishes, my friend.

Mike and Linda thanks for the update, I was hoping another good member hadn't decided to walk away, Lou is a great guy. I hope he gets completely over his illness and starts posting again.

Mike & Linda, thank you for posting this! I too have been wondering silently where Lou has disappeared to.

Lou, rest easy. It is nice to hear you still check in, looking forward to when you are well to contribute once again.

I know you are there Lou, Take care of yourself. You are always missed by me and I think of you often. Didn't realize you where having a time of it intil I read this post though. You are one of the people that helped make the IAP the IAP. My best wishes to you always. Thaks Mike and Linda. It is one of the greatest things abotu this group that someone always seems to be watching out for someone else. Lou is more than deserving of that.

Lou, if you're reading this thread, know that lots of us are lifting you in prayer. Best wishes for your continued recovery.
