sometimes in north america called elderberry. Anyone ever hear of it or know of a supplier that has some? If you have some I need about 18 inch long piece if you can part with it I can buy or trade. I have now looked at about 20 different suppliers site around north America now.

Elderberry doesn't grow real big around here as it is more of a bush. It may get about 6 to 7 feet tall with a diameter of maybe three inches. It grows all over around here. Not sure its even a wood type plant as I have only picked the berry's. Mailing an 18 inch piece could be costly. Not sure though. Is your postal service still on strike?
 
I gave up on Canada post long ago I live near enough the Boarder in NY I took a PO box. could be as small as 15 inches. long and minimum 1 inch square. can you help? soulds like I will need to cure what you have but I need to get this started so unless someone has some already cured and ready I may just need to offer to buy it from you if you have?
 
We just cut down an Elderberry TREE or else a Huge bush the trunk is about 5 or 6 in diameter and I have several larger limbs that are an inch or larger, that I would be happy to send you, just for the postage, it's still green, but I can seal the ends with wax or anchorseal, we have turned a few pieces and it's pretty dense wood.
 
hello all

I am back in look for some elderberry wood.

Kens sent me a wonderfull Piece but its Green. Is there any one that has anything ready to turn? i now have a need for 3 workable pieces. any chance one of you guys can help...
