I am looking for more of this specific acrylic. I've had this for years now and do not recall where it came from (maybe Richard Greenwald) or the material name. If anyone has some to part ways with, please let me know.

I have some Cebloplast (cellulose acetate, not acrylic) which looks very similar, as well as some acrylic acetate which is a copycat design that lacks the subtle shading of "the real thing". I think it's usually called "cracked ice".

Here's a pic of the 2 types I have - just one square rod of the darker, a couple of square rods in addition to this one that I have rounded of the brighter one.

This one that I have is acrylic for sure. The white chips are pearlescent and there are blue pearl chips scattered throughout.

The turners workshop carries it. Here is the link to where you can buy it.

Glad Jon was able to point you in the right direction. Erinoid is the name used in Britain for Galalith (a.k.a. casein)
I thought Erinoid was a brand name. I'm fairly sure what I have is not casein. I've used this before several times and is unlike any casein i have.

You're right - Erinoid Ltd is a plastics manufacturer, per their facebook page they make several types of plastic including acrylic. The name originally meant galalith (which they also make) but now it might be used to mean any material made by that company.

Erinoid is a brand name. It is not casein. I can attest to that cause i have bought a ton of erinoid material including this blank and it is a really nice high end acrylic material.

I just read this while looking for distraction in a meeting. It's one of my daily writers. I makes a good pen.
