Did I spell recommendations right? Think so

I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to do some book learnin since teacher learnin is not possible around here.

I was hoping you folks could recommend some books on box making and joinery. Especially the joinery. I like youtube and think I have watched them all, except "expert" village, I hate expert village.

We went to Barnes and Noble today but the woodworking selection was about 24 inches of one shelf, while the sewing section took up several shelves.

I was going to recommend You Tube until I read your whole post. I guess the next thing would be to hit the IAP library. There is a lot of info in there.

If you are looking for books on how to make boxes on your lathe, I would check out Richard Raffan's book, Turning Boxes. For joinery, if you're looking at starting to do segmented turning, The Art of Segmented Turning by Malcolm Tibbitts is where I would start.
