Not sure where I should put this question, but figured here was ok.

Im a huge fan of "click" type pens (or "chicka-Chicka" pens as I have called them since childhood) and I don't see too many kits for them. Does anyone know of click pen kit that has a Wall Street 2 type body (a bit heavier, longer center barrel) that comes with a click pen mechanism?
I just used the "Field Click" pen today for the first time, and while I love the weight and look of it, it does run a bit more "manly"'in its looks (Knurled & bulky) and I'm looking for something that can be used with a more feminine blank for a few nurse friends of mine who like weighty pens, but need the click for ease of use at work).
I've casually browsed a few pen vendor sites I know of, but thought I'd ask the experts. Where do you see good click pen kits for sale?

Here's a gatsby click I did a while back. It has a little less of a utilitarian appearance.
You might like the Blade kit, too. It takes a nice long blank.

Have a look at this Click pen .... it is a Wall Street 2 with some decorative embellishment that should appeal to the gals !!!

There are other platings available. . Note that this particular style has the word "Elegant" in the name. . There are cheaper Wall Street clicks too

I am a big fan of click pens and can give you some more ideas if you wish.

Somebody above mentioned the Blade pen kit. . That is a .... BereaHardwoods.com kit and has probably the best click mech. for a kit pen.
The click mech. is the Schmidt SKM-88, and started appearing in pen kits only about 2 years ago
The styling of the Blade pen kit is not particularly appealing to me.

A more appealing pen kit is the Luxor style from .... penblanks.ca .... a Canadian seller who does ship to the US. .
The Luxor also used the Schmidt SKM-88 click mech.

Here's a link to it .... https://www.penblanks.ca/luxor-push-button-pen-kit-chrome/

How have I not seen this one! 😳 My woodcraft doesn't have a ton of stuff in stock all the time. So pretty!

My Woodcraft (which isn't exactly close enough to really be "mine") usually seems to have a good variety of kits in stock, but it's hard to know what any of them actually look like, unless you're good at visualizing what a bag of loose components will look like when assembled. I have to already know what kit names I'm looking for before I walk in the door (which is doubly frustrating, since they use their own names for everyone else's kits).

Also, I have to say I'm a huge sucker for the clip design on the "Elegant" Sierra/Wall Street/etc series - especially when viewed from the side. After looking at those for a bit, it just makes the just-folded-over-at-the-top style from the "Inelegant" versions look positively... inelegant.

Berea has started using the SKM-88 in the sierra "super button" click pen now, too. It's getting a lot more popular. Too bad the mechanism isn't available in different finishes (yet?).

Richardlgreenwald.com does have the mechanisms themselves available in both black chrome and gold (the latter doesn't specify SKM-88, but it certainly looks like it) - although that basically means paying for a mechanism twice.

Two points I would like to make in response .....

Yes, it would be nice if the SKM-88 click mech. was manufactured by the Schmidt manufacturer in a variety of finishes.

"Bats" (immediately above) has mentioned that Greenwald.com sells two different finishes (gold, and black as Bats noted), .... but I kinda think that Richard has sent them out for plating (or perhaps done the plating himself) ... I doubt they have come from the factory that way.

And with regard to the Sierra Super Button Click ( from .... BereaHardwoods.com ) .... I apologize for not mentioning it myself above.

By comparison with the "Luxor" pen kit that I did mention, I do not like the "Sierra Super" quite as much. . The reason is that with the "Sierra Super" the SKM-88 click mechanism is fully exposed and some people don't like the look of it quite as much as the "Luxor". . The complete click mechanism is a little on the long side. . Having it fully exposed detracts from the overall appearance of the completed pen, in my view.

The "Luxor" has the SKM-88 partially recessed which hides about one-quarter of the length of the click mechism .... a nicer look, IMHO.

I do concur. It's not the most stylish mechanism, just very quiet and durable. The quiet would probably be a negative to some people, while others would be glad the person next to them finally got a quieter clicker.
