I found one of my pen photos being used to advertise snakeskin blanks blanks on ebay a couple months ago. Its kind of an honor to know they like your sample that much to use it for advertising doent it?

While flattery is nice......a little dough, ray, me would be even nicer! After all, it is your intellectual property that they are using....isn't it? Of course they used it with permission.

Congrats on getting noticed on your fine work and excellent execution!!!

Just to be clear, Mike (owner of Alumilite) asked for the photo and I provided it. I have been working with Alumilite for 5 or 6 years now and helped get them established in the pen blank casting market. And yes, they do treat me well.

Years ago we were fortunate enough to have Sam Maloof talk with our guild. He commented on a Cadillac ad that also had one of his rocking chairs in the ad. They had not asked his permission. Said he got thousands of orders as a result of that photo so he really didn't care.

What a coincidence! I have a cousin down there in San Marcos. He's the manager of the local Hobby Lobby.

He's been telling me about this crazy guy who's been hanging out in the casting department. He says the guy has been there for days . . . . stopping customers while pointing at the Alumilite display . . . . "That's my pen! That's my pen!"

At first they thought he was some homeless guy. But then they realized he was wearing an IAP baseball cap.

Well congrats to you, are you sure they didnt just display that box at your store only.:biggrin:

Just kiddin' Curtis! That is awesome to know that a pen of yours is on their packaging, but can they make it a little bigger.

Wow. A Batman costume? Are you guys in Texas getting ready for Halloween already or is this just an everyday costume?:wink: Way to go Curtis. It is to bad that your website or other ID is not able to be under the pic to direct some sales interest your way.

The Batman suit is in the lobby at Alumilite in Kalamazoo, Mi. All made of aluimilite. They have some other great specimens made of Alumilite. Amazing stuff.

Wow that must have taken some work to mold that one. Sounds kind of kewl. I did miss that you said that the costume was in MI- thanks. My grandson wants to be Batman this year, at least he does right now, next week who knows.
