Me, too. Didn't know how it would look until it was assembled, but I'll make the next one a smaller diameter. On this one, I actually matched the diameter of the original gold band.

Wow, great job...I can't even imagine how you did that!

The centerband slips apart pretty easy - the trick is turning the small ring on a predrilled blank. And then you can just knock the end cap bling out and turn a suitable replacement, then a dab of thick CA. And lotsa caliper checking!

Thanks all - I wanted to try an acrylic for my first attempt. Need to order more kits, and would like to try an HRB on the next one. Maybe a hair wider center band, but not as proud.

This looks pretty sweet, I tried doing this about a month or so ago with a Majestic and it's difficult to get these bands to match up. With that being said, I think you did a great job!
