Anybody else having problems with the click mechanism in the long click or maybe found a cure. I've made 4 and every one failed after a little use. I thought maybe the spring was jamming because the refill did not seem to be going back in far enough, tried new springs no change. Found if I slide my finger off the click mechanism and let it snap back it works most of the time. I've still got a couple but thankfully the others were given away and not sold. I'd hate to have to replace one knowing the replacement is going to fail shortly. Nice looking pen but I've made my last one.

Rick the when ever I have a problem with the long clicks it is generally because I shortened the tube at some point in finishing the pen. This kit is very sensitive to over and under length.

Not the problem with these Manny, I don't use a mill to square the ends. I put the pen between centers and part it square using a very narrow parting tool.

try replacing the refill with a good quality one. I've had it happen a couple times but swapped to a Private Reserve refill and it stopped.

Mike, I tried that and swapped out a bunch of refills and found one that worked. That seems to fix it for now but when I sell or give it away and whoever gets it needs to change the refill the problem starts again. I think I'll likely have to keep the one's I have for my own use.
