I have a question. If the holder spins, how do you keep the part turning the headstock? It seems it would just make everything spin with it without something holding it in place.
I know, stupid question.

Hi Kelly.....I purchased this item last year when it went on sale.... to use it....your piece being threaded is held by your chuck.... You spin the chuck with your left hand and hold the die holder with your right.... the parts are usually small enough that the threading is very easy.

In my case....I use it to power thread.... I engage the back gear.... and press the die holder to the piece.... when it reaches the shoulder ... the die holder harmlessly just spins in my hand.... I then hit the reverse switch and spin the holder off....and taaaaahhh Daaaahhhhh Finished.... it's square to the piece being threaded and all is right with the world once again :)
