Little live edge bowl

[Humongous]

Bowl from a cherry crotch piece that my neighbor cut down. I didn't plan on it being so small but by the time I got through the punky stuff this is what was left. Fun little piece to play with. Still need alot of practice but getting there.

Nice little practice piece. I like the grain patterns. I bet it would hold a bunch of push pins or paperclips.

I made a similar one, just messing around with some scrap Bradford Pear, mostly for practice. I was amazed at how beautiful the Bradford Pear wood is. I like the use of the Lego guy to show the size .

By the way, I've found soft woods to be very difficult to deal with. I can see why the punky wood was a problem. I had some punky cocobolo, but the spalting was gorgeous so I put in the extra time letting some thin CA soak in every few cuts.
