lidded vessel

Tried my hand at a lidded vessel for my mother. The wood (wenge and zebra wood) comes from an old broken table my parents had and I salvaged the wood. The finish is teak oil and then buffed. I am going to try this finish on a wenge pen. I really like this type of finish but patience is required.

I never had much luck with that open grain wenge but you made this look fantastic.

Thanks for all the comments. I used a thinned sanding sealer first and then about five coats of teak oil.
