lidded box

I made this lidded box for a demo I am doing for my local turning chapter on sunday. I cut the layers into circles on my band saw, then the center circles on my scroll saw to make rings. I then glued them up and turned them. The lid finial is made from the inner circle scraps.

OH! it is small, 3.75" wide by 4.75 tall. Funny how photos make them look so large. Thanks.
