Letter Drill Bits

I can't seem to find letter bits. Specifically letter I and Z in longer lengths. Any ideas?

How long do you want them ? . I find the usual jobber lengths for these drill bits to be quite adequate.

Hey ... it's good to know about these ... just in case a need comes up !!

Hmmmm ... I wonder why they are called "taper" length ...

Mal they are for making the holes that are followed by a taper reamer. The fasteners that go in the hole have a matching taper. The tapered pin is driven in to lock in place. Some come with a thread on the thinner end for a nut.
