LeRoi Blueberry

This is a LeRoi Elegant v2 from Exotic blanks, in chrome and black chrome. The blank is a Rhino called Blueberry Pickings, also from Exotic. Most of the Rhino blanks I've turned over the years have been opaque, but this one is a little translucent. As it turns out, I should have painted the blank. But it doesn't look too bad.

I thought I had assembled it wrong, so I disassembled it. But as it turns out, I was being a dumba$$. The two trim rings go on the threaded portion of the tip coupler. In my defense, there are no instructions. Live and learn.

The style is similar to a Sierra, but it uses 3/8" tubes. So the material on the body is a little thicker.

I like the LeRoi v2 !

And in general, I like Rhino blanks but you do have to be mindful for the semi-transparency of some of them.

Yeah, I learned that lesson today. But I didn't think it was bad enough for a do over.
