Finally found some time to turn a pen. Still haven't decide which kit to branch out into.

Brian, that turned out great, I would advance to the european next. That is what I did cause I could use the 7mm tubes and drill bit and not have to fork over alot of money to change to something different so soon.

Euros are fine and a good in between size but cigars are easier and more fun to turn and you only have to buy one more drill bit. Barons are still the best bang for the buck anywhere but you will need two new bits (and you have to remember to change the bits -- hint: use the small drill bit first so you can re-drill with the larger bit if you screw up).[xx(]

Looks like you did a good job, but the picture is too dark. I second Chris's recommendation about cigars and Barons.

Ditto on the cigars. This only requires a 10mm bit. Also with the euro's you will need to turn a tenon and thus need a parting tool. So if you don't have one the cost will be cheaper with the cigar.
Anyhow, It's a great looking pen!!

Nice looking pen, you have managed to keep the thickness uniform through-out.
When i started out i used the Slim first then went onto the Cigar's, nice easy pen to do[]
