I have a delta 1440 lathe. It sits on a concrete floor in my basement. I have it leveled, but continue to get a vibration on it. Any suggestions for what I can do to stop it?

I have a 1440 and added a shelf to it and put in three bags of sand. It helped. I then got a Jet 1642 and that took care of my problem. It is a true variable speed.

+1 on the add a shelf with sandbags, makes a world of difference. Not all of us can afford a solid cast iron machine. :wink:
