Well, after a long time with a hunk of MDF with a "T-bar" screwed to the bottom to serve as a tray for my lathe bed I decided I was going to make something at least half way decent! I had wanted it large enough to put a full note pad in for when I apply finishes and to hold my set of calipers, sandpaper, or what have you. I wanted a simple tray with a shallow lip to keep anything from rolling off. I did alter this a little diffrent too, I turned a pin for the tray to rotate on and added a small keeper block at one end. This allows the tray to rotate if the keeper is not slipped into the bed ways or it serves to lock the tray in place which is very nice for a quich hand hone with my diamond stones. The tray itself is just MDF edged with polpar, the center pin is oak.

(Pay no mind to the workplace notepad, we outdate them everynow and then and I was left with a lot of waste, so I use them in the shop) ;)
