Im having a problem with my lathe turning off center at the tailstock end. At the head end everything starts fine. Then half way down it starts getting lopsided. What could be wrong. Its a JET mini lathe, and only about 6 months old. Any opinions? Thanks

Many possibilities. Could be your blanks aren't squared quite right. Mandrel could be bent. Tail stock could be slightly over-tightened. Tail stock could be mis-aligned. I have that problem now and then and it's usually because my blanks weren't quite squared.

First guess, stock live center. It'll cause this every time. You need a 60 degree live center (if you don't already have one). Most of the other possibilities ahve already been mentioned.
