This is the fruit of today's labor. The burl is Amboyna from Nolan. I really like this kit, although I do wish the coupler were a little smoother. Overall, I am happy with the look of this although I might should have turned the bottom barrel down a bit more. Still tweaking the photo settings as well.

Wowzer. Nolan seems to have some sort of weird ability to channel the best burls. But then again it might be something as mundane as the fact that he only offers the best of what he cuts up!

Nothing like having a perfectionist as a supplier, is there? hehe

Nice job,
I only use blanks without straight grain with that kit, it is a bear to get the grain to line up. I also do not like the CB on it with how sharpe it feels.

Nice pen. Is that the "Hart Double Twist" from Woodcraft? The center band makes it look like one.

OOPS. Should have read the heading. American. But it looks identical to the Hart. This is what happens when you only get about 3 hrs sleep. It ain't only your butt that drags.
