I have brought home a couple loads of antler since my dad passed away. Weather was a little cooler this weekend, so I went to my dad's shop & picked up the last load of antlers. I decided to move the bandsaw out back of the shop & cut some antlers into pen blanks. Was a nice afternoon with a nice breeze blowing the antler dust away from me. Ended up cutting about 85 pen blanks before the bandsaw blade decided it was time to break & shut down all operations. It is nice having a ready supply of antlers that my dad left me, but now I need to get busy & start making pens with them...

A busy day!

And I love the statement on back of the truck!

Thank you... The truck belonged to my dad. We would go shopping at Walmart & get separated. I would find him at the front greeting everyone coming in. So the statement fit him well...

Something to think about. Although they would be easier to store cut up there are several uses for antlers. I would save some in case that something popped up and you didn't have what you needed. Either way I don't see them going to waste.
