The new machine is up and running. We're trying to dial in parameters now, but it shows some serious potential. Here's a ring of the world to show the marking potential.

I'm coming over soon, just to see this puppy run (might buy the wife a ring, too, as she loves 'em). That way you get to make a woman happy AND see a man turn green with envy at the same time.

Very cool, Bruce.

It's been a long day. It is a YAG laser.

Here's a couple more.

Oh, how about some "custom" titanium and other material center bands for pens?? !!

Very nice, going to have google the little beastie.

Wow!
Congrats! Really jealous here... I'm now starting to get something out of my new shoreline cnc, life seems better when you can just zap through metal!!

Can't wait to see some amazing stuff

It should indeed put a hurtin' on some centerbands. I'll need to focus for a while on doing a lot of new ring designs and putting them on the site. I also will be doing a huge amount of rings for the fraternity above that will have their 100 year celebration. Something like 50,000 people will attend, so will be a huge deal. I am working with a guy that has the official rights to do their rings and pens.

Never a dull moment!

That's an incredible opportunity.

Just out of curiosity, how to you vet something like his permissions to use the official rights? Is there a "governance" group for Fraternities and Sororities?

Hope you got a service policy on the new laser!

I've been telling our marketing guys to just come up with SOMETHING that everyone on the planet will give us $0.05 for, instead of these big complex projects!

He had to go through the fraternity itself. Each would have their own set of requirements and fees. It's not at the school level, but the top of the organization level.
