Laser Pointers - Anyone Done one of these?

I've been asked about doing a laser pointer, possibly in the end of a pen or as a seperate kit, to match a pen if seperate. This would be used during presentations, and possible aggravate a few pets at home.

Has anyone completed such a project? And if so, where do you get the kits?

I've seen that Berea has keychain laser point kits. I haven't seen a full pen version in my travels yet.
