Laser engraving on CA finish

I have a nice order for some pens with names engraved on them . I have had some engraving done on pens with friction finishes , with no problems . Now that I'm using CA finish , will the laser burn the CA ? Should I have the engraving done before applying the final finish ? I looked in the library , but didn't find an answer . Can anybody help ? Thanks .

My engraver lasers my CA pens and they turn out very nice. I take the completed pen to him for him to laser.

A nice thick CA finish will yield very crisp laser engraved results.

I finish (with CA glue) before engraving. The laser burns through the finish without any problem, and the smoke residue is easy to clean off.
