Most do not know that there is a "longer" Flat Rate Boxes beyond what your Post Office stocks. I was getting killed on shipping expense for large wood items that I was having shipped to me. They were 20" long and did not fit in a "large flat rate box" so they were either coming UPS or shipped USPS and being heavy costing an arm and a leg.

While looking on the USPS web site I found they had board game size flat rate boxes as long as 23 11/16" x 11 3/4" x 3". Same rate as a large box to ship. Made my life much easier. When I showed them to the seller he changed, lowered, his shipping by over 50%. Now the mailman curses me even more. Isn't life more fun for some than others? :)
 
You are right Sharon.The padded envelopes are nice we use a ton of them.the only problem is they only allow yo to get 15 at a time.I use that many in a week sometime.
 
I love those padded flat rates also the opening on the end allows more options

Limited to only 15 but you can place 10 separate orders in a row and you are in business
