Lamp

I finished up a lamp to go with the shade I posted the other day. I picked a seasoned piece of hickory that I had laying around that had some cracks and what I thought was a Burl. I figured it would go well with my rust effects shade. I soon discovered a huge hole in what I had identified as a Burl. I modified my shape to feature the hole. Turning seasoned hickory is not a lot of fun.

You didn't have anything to lose on that lamp base.

IF it didn't work out, you could have made some great smokey BBQ flavorings!
