Good Evening folks,

A question for the people in the know here...

Anyone have any ideas on what type of "glue" should be used to laminate celluloid acetate? I picked up a small sheet from a local surplus machine shop type place (they have all kinds of weird, awesome stuff!) and it was labeled "Italian Celluloid Acetate"... The problem however its only just over a 1/4" thick, but it was cheap enough that I figured I'd buy a piece and try to laminate a few layers to bulk it up to a decent blank size.

So! Anyone know what sort of bonding agent I should use??

Dave - depending on how you are using it, I would try epoxy. I have used CA on true celluloid with no problems. The camphor smell when turning it can clear all your sinus blockage.

Thanks for the suggestions Mike

I have a decent amount of the material, so I think I'll try both epoxy and CA, and compare results. If I get decent results I might even head back over to the machine shop and pick of a few more pieces
