lacquer on brass

Any opinions on whether or not lacquer will stick to a shiny brass cartrige. Will it eventually peel off? I Don't want to go to the expense of gearing up for powder coating until I see if the pens will sell.

I tried Deft laquer on my casing pens and it scratched up/off with in a week, YMMV.
So far, PC has held up very well (over a year).

I used lacquer on a shell casing and was not happy with the result. Like Mannie, mine scratched easily. That's why I bought the PCing stuff.

I agree with the others on this. I've tried several brands/types of lacquer and none of them held up very long. I switched to PC and it works very well. Check with Harbor Freight and/or ebay to see if you can get a good deal on a PC system.
