My latest faux cigar pen. I think it is stabilized maple burl. One of several blanks that were not quite finished so I lost track of the wood used.
The kit is a Jr Gent 2 in ti gold.

Cute !!!

I like the ash tray too ... did you make it ? . Of course, I never use an ash try .... because I don't smoke ! . But it's worth having for pens !!

Mal, that was an attempt at an ash tray. Didn't turn out like I hoped.
I don't smoke either and I've been on the lookout for a nice cigar ashtray for my photos.
It just seems to add to the realism if it is in an ashtray.

Bobby, the ash end is un-stabilized buckeye burl. carved, painted black then painted white. Then carved again with some lead pencil to tone down the white. It is a process that I have developed over time and even when I try different variations it ends up being the same basic process.

Whatever the process on the ash, you've really mastered it -even the body looks like wrapped tobacco. Very realistic!
