Knife Kit

I saw a knife that was made from a kit. The owner did not know the source of the kit.

The knife blade was mounted in a double threaded fitting so that the blade could be either be exposed or hidden in the handle. The was a thread protector ring that was screwed on to the exposed thread.

Anyone recognize this kit?
