Kitless in Lapis

A very good repeat customer requested a capped pen with a "cigar shape" that posts and that accepts a bic refil. He loves this vintage Lapis.

Is that real lapis stone or a synthetic, like TruStone?
I have tried a couple of custom pieces with TruStone, but always had the threads eventually break. Just too fragile.
Your threads look exceptionally clean. Well done.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get any of the Conway Stewart collection when they closed.
It's a beautiful pen and an interesting idea for the refill.
