I am curious as to what other people do to keep track of multiple customers orders so as to not get them mixed up or forgotten about. I started using a piece of paper in a Ziploc bag with the customers name on the bag. Anyone have a better of different system. My orders tend to come in groups of 3 - 5 pens at a time. I think the worst thing for me is when I have a pen kit, but no blank or vice versa.
Thanks in advance for your valued input,
Jay

I use a little steno note pad and number the left side. I usally make pens for the nurses at work or friends. So I write in 1. Rosemary, 2. Joyce, etc. Next to the name I have a column for the penkit. If they want more than one kit I write thier name on a separate line. That way each blank/blanks has a name and penkit next to it. I place the blanks on there in the order of the names on the pad. This was I put the blanks on. Maybe someday I will also use a labelmaker and put numbers onit to correspond to the pad.

Its not what I do (since I tend to lean a bit more hi-tech), but this is what I'd suggest based on what my dad did for years:

Keep a 3x5 memo pad handy (like this: Staples® Top Bound Memo Books, 3" x 5" | Staples® )

My dad kept his in a shirt pocket so it was always with him to jot reminders to himself.

For custom orders, this would be perfect. Enough space for notes (kit, blank, contact info, due date, etc)... and you could put 1 pen per page - and tear out the page when you don't need to make it any more.

Simple, cheap and easy... If I didn't track my stuff on my smartphone, I'd be inclined to use the idea myself.
