Well I still have 2 days to go, but I am proud to say I have successfully completed 30 entire days with no Fast Food and no pizza of ANY kind. This includes none from the grocery. This is a huge deal for me lol. I didn't get this heavy eating carrots and potatoes for sure lmao. I just wanted to share my success with you all since I spend a lot of time on the site.

Congrats Todd, and thanks for sharing your success. My thought are with you as you go forward. I have heard it said that it is not how much you eat, but what you eat that matters. I am hoping for you to get a taste for things that are better for you.

Way to go Todd, your heart will thank you many times over, as will the rest of your body.

Cograts Todd!!!
keep up the good work!!!

Have you ever tried to make your own pizza?
Buy the ready made dough, you can get organic ones too. The wholewheat ones are really quite tasty!
You get to decide what you want on it and imo they tatse a lot better than the FF ones and are also healthier for you!
Everything is fresh and not from a can!

Andrew

Since February I've lost 85 pounds and I have pizza about once a week. I weigh in on Saturday morning and have pizza for dinner Saturday night. BUT, I've changed what I eat. Instead of a whole medium Domino's sausage and mushroom thin crust, I now eat 3 slices of Papa Murphy delite with mushrooms and roma tomatoes.

Some are probably wondering what is so special about Saturday? For me it is sodium day. It takes your body 5 days to get rid of sodium so if I am going to have a meal high in the stuff, I try to have it on Saturday so it will be out of my system by next weigh in.

I also on a rare occassion have fast food. When I started Weight Watchers I would have a Quarter Pounder no cheese and nothing else. I am now down to what use to be an adult serving - a hamburger - and still avoid the fries.

The longer you are away from it the easier it is to avoid. I use to eat Chinese 3 times a week for lunch and once or twice for dinner. I don't miss it but still have it once in a while on Saturday.

congrats. I know it must be hard. I smoked at least two packs of cigs a day for over 50 years and quit two years ago and have not had one since. I still think about smoking once in a while, but not enough to make me want to start again.

That is pretty awesome Eric. WTG on doing a good job!

I actually have made my own, but you know how the story goes, I get lazy, order it, and then I get in the habit.

Not sure I noticed a REAL change without having these foods really. Well I take that back, haven't been having heartburn since I don't have the pizza lol.

Thank you for all the grats and continued encouragement everyone!

I am proud of you. I have been along this challenge with him.
I am planning to stick with the no fast food unless there is really no other option. And just have pizza once a week, and limit my portion size.

Starting Sunday, I am on to my next 30 day challenge, no chocolate or cappuccino. Cappuccino will be a little difficult right now with the seasonal flavors.

Good work! I'm 3 weeks into the Medifast program, (obviously no fast food or pizza there!) and down 22lbs as of this AM. I find that I miss the "greasy" stuff less each day. Keep it up!

Todd, That's great.
Don't think of it as being "on a diet" think of it as changing your eating habits. If you want to be healthy you have to eat healthy. I don't know your situation and why you're doing it but whatever the reasons it will improve your health. I had quad-by-pass surgery one year ago tomorrow, avoid that at all cost!

Way to go Todd and Stacie, Keep it up guys, just thibnk about all the work that will go to waste if you turn back now. 30 days .... for nothing. Keep it up.

Way to go Todd!! Keep it going...its good for you not to go there. I havent been to a McD, BK, Wendys or any of the others in about 13 years. Cant bring my self to go any more, get sick just thinking of the bad. I do like my sweets, but that, too is a rare treat.

That is a great job, I have concured soda next I guess fast food. I think Fast food is almost worse than a cigarette addiction. I quit that one 23 years ago I commend you on your will power keep it up!!!!
