I haven't turned anything for about two months now, so I got some nit noid kits to try and motivate myself to use my hands.

This is leftover pieces from a couple pens I've done. Walnut, maple, and olive. I shattered the first segmented blank I had made for a special occasion and resorted to segmenting on the fly. The kit is the Dayacom gold that I got from ExoticBlanks

In the mail and on the way to my step grandfather since he always uses toothpicks.

Nicely done. I like to use "scraps", also. It is fun to use remnants from bigger projects for smaller projects. I like the challenge of utilizing almost all of my woods, except for the shavings. (I am not into casting, but I have heard that some people do creative castings of shavings for pens and bottle stoppers, even larger projects.) Back to your project, you have a nice choice of woods, beautifully arranged. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
