See my (p)review in the Penmakers' Guild goup on yahoo, http://tinyurl.com/85l6x if interested
The first one is stabilized spalted maple (from BB), the second one is stabilized ironwood, wine color, from Steve White (http://www.rrpwhite.com/). Yup, phantastic color!Originally posted by jenamison
man that jr statesman color is very nice. What is it made out of?
It's what I call it... not sure whether it was meant to be a protector for assembly or for disassembly. Works well for the latter! I mentioned it on my original review of the jr Statesman last year (posted in the Penmakers' Guild - the IAP has a an offline archive that's easily searched) There is a picture in my yahoo album - let's see whether this link works http://tinyurl.com/4g2fcOriginally posted by Old Griz
Rich, you mention a disassembly plug... I have never seen one.. of course I have not made a Jr Statesman so that may be the reason... can you show a pic of one... Thanks
Check out my fix for the thread pre-alignment, posted in penturners on yahoo http://tinyurl.com/dx5ouOriginally posted by penworks
Now that is an attractive PEN ! The powers to be actually listened. I allways felt short changed when the body final didn't have the embossong like the big brother.
I think the addition in size on this pen will be good as well. Thanks for the update.
