Jr. Retro Problem

Over the past few months, I made about a dozen Jr. Retro Rollerball pens. Two of them had problems. In both cases, the pen tip would not insert into the pen smoothly. You would hear a click and then the pen would turn normally.

Yesterday, while unscrewing the pen in, the tip came off in the pen.

At first I thought it might have been a small piece of glue pushing in one one side. So, I was able to take the pen apart, clean the inside, and put the pen back together. Same thing.

Any ideas?

Check to make sure that the cap insert hasn't been pushed in too far.
