Jr Hamilton Diamond Galaxy

My second Jr Hamilton from Turners Warehouse, in satin gold, this one a fountain pen. I really like the simple design of the Jr Hamilton. The blank is an inlace acrylester from Woodturningz called Diamond Galaxy. I've been turning more inlace blanks lately, since I started using a carbide chisel with a shearing cut. Been having a lot of success. I didn't know if I'd like this blank with the pen, but it turned out better than expected. I'm very happy with how this turned out.

I really like this Jim. I would not have guessed Inlace A for the blank. It looks a little bit 'outer spacey' to me - which is great.

No experience with this exact kit, so wondering of the plating in 2-3-4 years.

I agree with "outer spacey". It was definitely marked "inlace", and was very messy. I don't know about the longevity of the plating. I made another Jr Hamilton last month, and have been using it at work, but so far no problems with the plating. Of course that could change with time.

Okay, I admit it. I'm slightly OCD. (Well, maybe more than slightly.) The tip didn't line up with the clip. So I disassembled and reassembled it. Now I feel better.

I don't know if OCD is the correct terminology. How about a perfectionist? I see a much more in-line FP and it looks really nice. In my opinion, it shows you care about your work.
