Jr.Gents, some have black thread some are all metal?

Hi,

Ive noticed people posting pics of jr.gents with a black thread for both the cap and posting threads?

All the jr.gents Ive ordered over the last 6 months have been plating coloured, no black areas?

Are the black ones an older model?

Just wondering as it bugging me! haha

I believe the only Jr Gents that have the black male threads are the cheaper gold plated kits. The gold and black titanium and rhodium kits are solid plated.

There are also some kits that are very similar to the Jr Gents and they might
have the black parts..

The 10k gold and copper Gents have black enamel couplers similar to the Baron and Sedona. The Black Ti, Gold Ti and Platinum have matching plated couplers.

Yea, I'll take an old Nova over a Cadillac any day of the week. The ole Nova looks and sounds better, and it pretty much takes a bomb to kill a Nova.
