Jr Gent II Ballpoint Question

Can the finial be replaced on the Jr Gent ballpoint like it can on a Jr Gent II rollerball? I want to make 1 of these for a wedding guest register, and I think a ballpoint would be better than a rollerball because there wouldn't be a cap to keep up with. But I don't want the gold finial, I want to match the blank for the finial.
 
Just pulled one from the pile, looks like the same design as the rollerball and fountain cap. I BELIEVE it would work!!
