I have some Jr Gent 1 kits. Not sure where they are from (not Smitty). My notes say the bits to use are 15/32 and 25/64. However if I compare the tubes to those drill sizes they do not match up. I used a 10mm for the lower tube and it was perfect. By my calculations the upper tube is 29/64. It measures .451 on the calipers.

I have about 8 kits and they are all the same. Does that sound right to anyone? Where do I get a 29/64 bit?

I use 25/64 for the body (I believe this is exactly the same size as the 10mm...) and 15/32 for the cap, which is the same size as the drill bit for the sketch pencil, so anyone that sells that kit should sell the drill bit too (PSI, CSUSA, Woodcraft, etc)

I have those size bits, but the bit is larger than the tubes included in the kits I have. Also 25/64 and 10mm do not measure the same with calipers.

I seem to remember that there were some wrong size drill bits in the instructions for the Jr Gent 1, I could be thinking of the Jr. Gent 2 though.

I use a 10 mm for the bottom tube and a 12 mm for the top tube. The lower tube is a precision fit. The top tube gives "a little room" for reverse paint, but no so much that epoxy will not secure it nicely without voids.

I hope this helps!

Some jr gent 1 instructions call for 12mm and 10mm rather than the american sizes. Rizheng's used to call for 12mm and 10mm but they've changed to 15/32 and 25/64. But 12mm is a tad bigger than 15/32 10mm is almost dead on 25/64..
