So I'm sure a lot of you out there have made pens for people that go to other people. Well, I was at church this past weekend and after the service was over, me and my wife ran into some friends who promptly pointed at a woman next to them and said, "she is the person that ordered all of those rifle shell pens through my sister". She quickly introduced her to us and I thanked her for her many orders. She then asks me if I know who Josh Hamilton is, and of course(me not being a big sports fan, said no) I'm clueless. It turns out that she is really good friends with Josh and his wife. She briefly explains his story to me and says that he is an avid hunter and Now a devout Christian. Wow!~ So this professional baseball player is in possession of one of my rifle shell pens, how crazy is that! Who would've thunk it. Anyway, just wanted to share that you should always strive to do your ultimate best on every pen because you never know who might be on the receiving end of that "Pen". thanks for letting me share:tongue:

I know there isnt a pic to show, but its hard to know which one it was, but I can tell you it was like this design which is embarrassing to me. So I have volunteered to make a new one!
I wonder though if this would be a better choice now?!

Yeah I knew the name from one of the guys at work talking about him. It is always nice to hear someone kicking that. Glad to hear he is using one of your pens.

Your not knowing who he is reminded me of a co-worker who, years ago was working on a home where one particular day they were filming a commercial .... This very tall guy comes into the kitchen to get a drink of water and when he does he introduces himself...."Hi, I'm Larry Bird".... My co-worker says hi, they chat awhile .... Never has a CLUE who Larry Bird IS! :eek::smile::biggrin:

I'm a huge Celtic fan so it just blows my mind! :tongue:
 
Lenny, I did one of those myself.. a friend of mine came into my store and
brought his friend Phoebe with him. He introduced us and we chatted a bit
and after a while I mentioned that she had an unusual voice, reminded me
of a singer who was popular back in the 70's and 80's. And she said "You
mean Phoebe Snow? Yeah, I get that a lot." And I nodded and we continued
our conversation for a few seconds before the little light bulb went on over
my head. The two of them were just grinning at the idiot. Of course, telling
someone they USED to be popular didn't make matters any better..
