Jet Mini Tailstock Center Removal

How do I remove the tailstock live center from my Jet Mini? I can punch the point out but not the center. I "think" I saw where you retract the tail spindle and keep turning it a bit until it pulls off.

Anyone able to guide me here?

yep, just retract the ram until the morse taper lets go. Shouldn't take too much force.

How about when the live center is stuck inside the tail stock & will not come out after the quill is fully retracted?

UNdo the handle and unscrew the wheel.USe a biiger "puch" to know it out.
I have tried using a space on the back side of the live center and trying to "screw" it out but knocked the end of it off.

What should I use to knock it out a dowel it should be something that won't put deep scratches inside taper hole. maybe brass rod?

I always use whatever works
You won't be going into the taper hole.
If you do whatever you are using is too small.You want to hit the END of the M taper[]
