Jet 1014 VS motor and control on ebay

I've gotten a 1014 from this guy before for a neighbor for $160. He gets damaged cartons, returns, etc. and resells them. Other than a bad box, only the handle on the motor was slightly bent.

Also got a brand new motor, non VS, for $35.

I saw that on Ebay and it was then at a great price because that kit sells for $200 new. I would also think that setup could be adapted to other lathes with some bracket fab...
