Very impressive!

I usually buy a couple prizes for the DD. We've had drill docs, grinders, a lathe, etc. Any thoughts on a good prize? I've considered an airshield, another lathe, a benchtop drill press, a collet chuck. Ideas welcome!

Most of us probably have a decent drill press already, Jeff...
A collect chuck sounds good...
other ideas:
'cheap' dust collector from Grizzly, or a canister for a dust collector?
gift certificate for a choice of places
video camera
digital camera
pressure pot or cactus juice stabilizer

this would save the cost of shipping and let the winner get what they need

A lathe would be awesome. Drill press wouldn't be bad either, but I wouldn't want one. Don't have one now because I don't have room for it.
I think a gift certificate would be the best bet because everyone's needs are different.

Cactus juice vacuum thing sounds nice however one would need a pump and a prize that requires you to buy something isn't a great prize. A lathe chuck of any kind would be good. I just bought one and now realize that you can't have too many of them. A lathe would be cool too. Exotic pen blanks? Something that would make a person want to branch out and try something new.

I dont have room either....Any tool has the risk that the winner already has one, or doesnt have room....

Award prizes, not cash. A nice collet chuck would be great! I like the idea of something small that can be shipped easily.

Scott.
