Customer in South Carolina asked me to make him 2 pens with nice Aussie timbers. I showed him a pile of blanks and he chose these 2! Which were both Jarrah.
The black fleck jarrah is actually spalted, and the flecks follow the wavy grain beautifully. I opted for a satin gloss CA finish.
The fiddleback Jarrah has a high gloss CA finish. Fully lined with ebonite. Sections are ebonite polished to match the timber finish and the pinch is 12 mm as per customer's request. 139 mm capped, 135 mm uncapped.
